The Reed Project was first created by Terry B. Ewell and then hosted by the International Double Reed Society (IDRS) around 1999. In addition to the IDRS, this website was created in cooperation with Scrapes journal, a Dutch publication. Unfortunately changes in the hosting of the IDRS Website have resulted in loss of the Reed Project from the IDRS website. Here the information is restored for the benefit of the double reed community.
